Part Time In Home Autism Instructor--Talbot Co

About the Role

Trellis Services is hiring one-on-one instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 10 to 21) with autism in their homes and in the community. This part-time position (4 to 40 hours per week—afternoons, evenings, and weekends) is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child. As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Immediate opening in Easton—Talbot County! Opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard, and Talbot counties.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living, and recreation/leisure
• Engage in physical activities as needed based on client assignments, including pushing, pulling, lifting up to 35 pounds, moving quickly, sitting on the floor, stooping, standing, walking, and running

Requirements

• Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a State/Federal background check
• Reliable transportation, valid Driver's License, and current Auto Insurance
• Minimum of 100 hours of working, volunteer, or personal experience with individuals with developmental delays
