Part-Time In-Center Summer Teacher/Tutor

About the role

The Huntington Learning Center in Evansville seeks several part-time teachers to join our team. This position is ideal for working professionals who wish to make a difference in their community.

Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of students K-12 and young adults.
• Provide tutoring in subjects such as Verbal and Phonics, Exam Prep, Math (Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calc, and Calc), and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Bio).
• Flexible schedule available, including evenings and weekends.
• No lesson planning or grading of homework.
• Pleasant working environment provided.

Requirements

• A 4-year degree required.
• Excellent personal interaction skills in 1-1 settings.
• For SAT/ACT tutors, SAT/ACT scores from within 3 years; free assessment can be taken in the center to get scores.
• Must be able to work at least 3 times a week; flexible schedule welcome.

• Comfortable working with a variety of students K-12 and young adults.

• Day shift: Monday to Friday.
