About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, versatile, and highly organized Laundry Aide to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for cleanliness in all aspects of the community, including resident units and common areas. The Laundry Aide provides laundry services to ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. Services are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to enhance the quality of life for residents.
Responsibilities
- Sorting and washing laundry items according to color, fabric, and type
- Drying and folding laundry items
- Ironing and pressing clothes as needed
- Ensuring that laundry equipment is clean and in good working condition
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor
- Assisting with other housekeeping tasks as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be able to speak and read English
