Part Time Housekeeper

About the role

The YWCA of Greater Cleveland is looking for a part-time Housekeeper who values cleanliness, care, and consistency. You will help keep classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas clean, fresh, and ready for the next day, supporting a safe and welcoming environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and care for floors, rugs, and surfaces
• Disinfect high-touch areas to support health and safety standards
• Empty trash and recycling and keep bins clean and orderly
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies and equipment
• Perform light and periodic deep cleaning, such as windows or baseboards
• Notice and report any maintenance or safety concerns

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to perform regular physical tasks such as standing, bending, and walking

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is helpful, especially in a school, childcare, or healthcare setting, but not required
