Greeting and Management
You will greet all guests promptly with a smile and sincere welcome. Assist with venue directions as needed. Thank guests for their visit and warmly invite them to return. Communicate guest feedback and concerns to management.
Guest Flow and Service
- Manage incoming guest flow.
- Estimate and communicate wait times.
- Escort guests to appropriate areas.
- Provide confident and friendly guidance to guests.
- Maintain waitlist to maximize service efficiency.
- Communicate ongoing logistics to restaurant management.
- Walk with guests while escorting them to tables.
- Present menus and wait for guests to settle before leaving the table.
Cleanliness and Orderliness
Maintain clean and orderly food service environments during operation and after service. Follow sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies in public areas and back of house.
Front-of-House Service
- Support basic front-of-house service needs.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables and pre-bus as needed.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance, training, and company policies.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Speak and hear to communicate with guests and use both near and distance vision for operating the POS system.
- Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items.
- Frequently climb stairs throughout the venue.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and occasionally sit, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Manual dexterity for tasks such as using a computer.
Working Conditions
- Restaurant/bar/live music environments, subject to both kitchen and customer areas, with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in restaurant operations is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks with efficiency and composure.
- Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs.
Licenses and Certifications
- State Food Handler Safety Card required upon hire.
- State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire.
- Non-Gaming Work Permit Card required upon hire.
