Part Time Host- Equipment Room

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure immediate response is given to any and all guest comments and concerns, inform immediate supervisor of concerns and assist implementing corrective measures when necessary.
• Provide guests with menus.
• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs.
• Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and to respond to complaints.
• Receive and record patrons' dining reservations using Resy.
• Maintain contact with Kitchen staff, management, Serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed.
• Direct patrons to waiting areas such as lounges.
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages (if applicable).
• Prepare cash receipts after establishments close.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that patrons receive prompt and courteous service.
• Help hire and train other Hosts and Hostesses.
• Assist in planning functions or other special events and services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• College Degree preferred.
• Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
• Able to understand other computer programs (i.e. Property Management System).
