Part Time Hospital Housekeeper

About the Role

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper cleans and maintains facilities or locations within a healthcare campus. Responsibilities may vary by account based on business needs, client requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
• Sweeps and/or vacuums floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal areas.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

Requirements

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Experience in the janitorial industry or medical cleaning is a plus.
• Post-offer medical, background screening, and drug test required.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Requires close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus (with or without corrective lenses).
• Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Work Environment

• Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Noise level is usually quiet.

Schedule

• 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (includes shift differential)
• 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Pay

$12 per hour.
