About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members.
  • Safeguard operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
  • Outline attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensure program tasks are completed effectively.
  • Continually coach, foster respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
  • Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
  • Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
  • Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs. Ensure "name to face" attendance procedures are completed per company policy.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

  • New Jersey State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements; First Aid and CPR-in-person; Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Short & Long Term Disability Requirements based on capacity: 6-15 children - High school diploma or GED completed; 16-30 children - High school diploma or GED completed; 31 or more children - High school diploma or GED completed; 15 college credits in child development, education, recreation, psychology, health care, nursing or any other field related to child growth and development; 15 college credits in areas not related to children; Associate's Degree in any field; Bachelor's Degree in a child related field; Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field; School Age Program Supervisor endorsement from the New Jersey Registry for Childhood Professionals, Professional Impact New Jersey.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED completed.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related field.
  • Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
  • 18+ years of age.

Pay

$20.00-$25.00 (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday through Friday 6:30-8:00AM and 2:30-6:00PM
