Position Summary

Chase drivers safely transport CDL drivers to their destination to either pick up or deliver vehicles to and from the auction. Essential Functions:

• Safely transport other drivers to destinations throughout the US.
• Interacting in a professional manner with clients, and drivers.
• Cleaning and maintaining chase vehicles, both interior and exterior.
• Checking fluids and tires on chase vehicles before starting each trip.
• Maintaining maintenance logs on chase vehicles for repair records.
• Using proper safety restraints for self, and ensuring passengers are also wearing safety restraints.
• Following state laws regarding safe driving.

Position Qualifications

• Clean driving record.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to use GPS systems, with general knowledge of most efficient routes.
• Ability and willingness to drive safely in different weather conditions.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous commercial truck driving experience plus but not required.
• General mechanical knowledge plus but not required.
• Jumping starting vehicles.
• Operating manual transmission vehicles.

Skills and Abilities

• Willingness to learn and use online payroll systems for time keeping.
• Able to do overnight trips as needed.
• Able to lift commercial batteries to replace if needed.
• Able to assist CDL drivers prepping trucks for transport.
• Able to drive trucks on sale day through the sales arena.
