About the role
This is an outdoor and labor-intensive role that involves performing various landscaping and maintenance duties for multiple West Coast Self-Storage properties to keep them functional, clean, and free from debris. The Groundskeeper works with the District Manager and store teams to ensure upkeep and appearance according to clean and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Learns skills necessary to complete the job
- Communicates project status and follow-up dates on schedule to the District Manager
- Maintains facility grounds (landscaping, parking areas, etc.)
- Maintains facility systems (lights, gates, security systems, etc.)
- Maintains facility structures (fences, doors, etc.)
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Groundskeeping or maintenance experience
- Experience with utilizing hand and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in urban and rural environments
- Ability to self-manage while working independently to complete team and company objectives
