Part Time Groundskeeper

About the role

A reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Groundskeeper to help maintain clean, safe, and attractive outdoor spaces. You will support the upkeep of lawns, walkways, landscaping areas, and exterior common spaces while contributing to a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, raking, and leaf removal
• Maintain walkways, parking areas, entrances, and exterior common spaces in a clean and orderly condition
• Water plants, shrubs, and landscaped areas as needed
• Assist with planting, mulching, weeding, and seasonal landscaping tasks
• Collect litter and debris from outdoor areas and dispose of waste properly
• Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance concerns promptly
• Support snow and ice removal efforts when applicable
• Operate basic groundskeeping tools and equipment safely and responsibly
• Follow all company safety guidelines and maintain equipment in good working condition

Qualifications

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, custodial work, or a related field is preferred
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, and outdoor maintenance practices
• Ability to safely use hand tools and common groundskeeping equipment
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials commonly associated with grounds maintenance

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with irrigation systems, seasonal cleanup, or basic landscape care
• Experience with power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, or mowers
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
