Part-Time Grounds Maintenance - Parks at Unicoi

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Park Manager and Assistant Park Manager, the Part-Time Parks Grounds Maintenance team member is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the park grounds and facilities.

What You'll Do

• Mow, trim, edge, and maintain park grounds
• Plant, mulch, weed, and care for landscaped areas
• Auxiliary with trail maintenance and outdoor improvement projects
• Perform general repairs to fences, benches, picnic areas, signs, and other park features
• Operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles, and hand tools safely
• Pressure wash, paint, and assist with basic carpentry projects
• Keep public areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces clean and guest-ready
• Respond to maintenance requests and safety concerns throughout the park
• Auxiliary with seasonal projects and special events
• Help maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and organized

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, construction, or general maintenance is a plus
• Comfortable operating lawn equipment and hand tools
• Able to lift, carry, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
