Part-Time Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

About the Role

The Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk is responsible for efficiently selecting, assembling, and ensuring the quality of customers' online orders, including processing payments and managing substitutions. They load orders into customers' vehicles, maintain order accuracy, and follow safety and food handling standards. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service to encourage repeat business and supports team training and store organization.

Responsibilities

• Gather and select products for online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
• Assemble, scan, bag, and process orders through the POS system.
• Communicate order updates or substitutions to customers.
• Load orders into customers' cars, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of staging areas and equipment.
• Follow food safety laws, store policies, and procedures.
• Assist in training new team members and perform opening/closing tasks.
• Provide positive customer interactions to promote loyalty.
• Report equipment issues and discrepancies promptly.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflict professionally.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong reading, math, and communication skills.
• Experience in personal shopping, warehouse, stocking, or cashier roles is preferred.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a customer-focused attitude.
• Capable of supporting diverse customer needs, including minors and seniors.
