Part Time Golf Shop Assistant

Assists the Golf Course Manager and Golf Pro with daily operation of the golf shop, including retail sales and customer service. This is a part-time position working less than 20 hours per week on rotating shifts, including regular weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assists golfers with scheduling tee times, checking in for play, and processing payment through the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Monitors and manages course play to ensure proper pace and adherence to tee times
• Assists in tournament set-up preparation and weekly events
• Assists with inventory control of hard and soft goods, including receiving shipments, pricing merchandise, maintaining displays, and processing sales transactions
• Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the pro shop, including keeping the sales floor and counter areas neat
• May assist with golf cart operation and practice facility
• Observes safety rules and procedures
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience
• General knowledge of the game of golf, golf rules, golf facility operations, and tournament operations
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Proficiency in standard computer software (e.g., Word, Excel)
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
• Maintain a positive professional image
• Valid Texas driver’s license (or reliable alternate transportation) and good driving record
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Seller/Server Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
