About the role

We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and motivated Part-Time Front Desk & Sales Team Member to join our team. This role is much more than working the front desk; you will be an important part of creating an amazing member experience while helping us grow our community. The ideal candidate enjoys fitness, loves being around people, and brings a welcoming, positive attitude every day. You should be outgoing, dependable, motivated, and comfortable building relationships and asking for the sale.

Responsibilities

  • Member Experience:
    • Welcome every member and guest with a warm, positive, and energetic attitude.
    • Create a friendly, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and excited to be part of the SPENGA community.
    • Build genuine relationships with members and help create a strong studio culture.
    • Answer questions about memberships, classes, schedules, policies, and studio events.
    • Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting studio.
  • Sales & Lead Follow-Up:
    • Take an active role in generating new memberships and helping the studio reach sales goals.
    • Make consistent follow-up calls and texts to new leads and prospects.
    • Follow up with guests who have visited but have not yet joined.
    • Schedule and confirm intro visits and trial workouts.
    • Conduct studio tours and explain the SPENGA experience and membership options.
    • Understand each prospect’s goals and recommend the membership that best fits their needs.
    • Confidently ask for the membership sale and overcome common objections.
    • Re-engage past leads and former members.
    • Track leads, follow-ups, appointments, and sales accurately.
  • Member Engagement:
    • Check in with new members and help them feel comfortable and connected.
    • Encourage members and celebrate their progress and milestones.
    • Promote studio events, challenges, referrals, and community activities.
    • Help identify opportunities to reconnect with members who may be disengaging.

  • Outgoing and comfortable talking with people.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable making phone calls and having sales conversations.
  • Motivated by goals and results.
  • Reliable, professional, and accountable.
  • Previous sales, fitness, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus—but attitude and personality are most important.
  • Weekday morning availability is required.
