About the Role

Crystal Springs Uplands School is a 6-12 co-educational, independent day school located on two distinct campuses in Hillsborough and Belmont, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience working in dynamic settings serving multiple constituents.

• Attends mandatory coaches’ meetings.
• Makes sure the conduct of scholar-athletes during practices and games is monitored.
• Ensures a safe environment for scholar-athletes by checking the playing area and equipment before each practice and game/competition.
• Prevents injuries through thoughtful, balanced workouts.
• Instructs scholar-athletes in the basic rules and fundamentals of the sport.
• Aids in implementing training programs to develop athletes in the sport.
• Implements athlete registration and evaluations and maintains the evaluation database.
• Upholds Crystal’s core values.
• Fosters an equitable and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; three years of minimum related experience preferred.
• Required Certifications: Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (American Red Cross/American Heart Association).
• Required Experience: Volleyball playing and coaching experience (three years preferred).
• General Knowledge: General knowledge of best practices in interscholastic athletics and volleyball.

Travel Required

• Light travel between the MS and US campuses.
• Travel to and from competitions in the Bay Area.

Salary and Benefits

This is a Seasonal part-time position, working approximately 15 hours per week. It is not eligible for benefits. This position is paid hourly at $25-$45 per hour. Season key dates: start on August 7, 2026, with potential postseason on October 28, 2026, and beyond. The recruitment period will remain open until sufficient resumes have been received and may close at any time a sufficient pool of highly qualified candidates has been established. First consideration will be given to individuals who apply between July 10, 2026, and July 20, 2026. Second consideration will be given to individuals who apply between July 21, 2026, and August 1, 2026. The ideal start date for this position is August 7, 2026.
