Part-time Float Pharmacist
About the role
Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group's family of businesses, is a pharmacy care services company dedicated to serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. We partner with community-based providers to ensure people with complex health conditions get the right medications and can follow their treatment plans through personalized services including in-clinic pharmacies and medication management.
This part-time Float Pharmacist position covers Central and Eastern Massachusetts, with pharmacy locations in Worcester, Milford, Marlborough, Framingham, Brockton, Quincy, and New Bedford.
Schedule
Part-time, 3 days per week (24 hours total) during pharmacy hours Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm, plus every other Saturday in Worcester 9:00 am–4:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
- Provides information to customers about medications and their use
- Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
- Administers immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
- Performs any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Current pharmacist license in the state of Massachusetts
- Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Qualifications
Preferred: Authorization to administer long-acting injectables or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
Pay
Hourly range: $44–$79 per hour (based on full-time equivalence). Actual pay determined by factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
