Part Time - Fleet Services - Driver (Non CDL)

About the role

Drive a light vehicle, such as a car, truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) to transport Lions Gate residents to and from the residence hall and local shopping centers on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sundays during the day.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle to transport passengers, load and unload as required.
• Operate radio system to communicate with dispatcher or other drivers; receive orders and follow as directed.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep vans clean and habitable on the inside; clean windshield and rear‑view mirror(s) as needed.
• Read and record odometer readings as assigned.
• Check general operation of vehicles daily, such as fuel level, tire pressure, headlights, turn signals, emergency and stop flashing lights, doors, windshield, wipers, horn, etc.; report malfunctions and/or needed repairs.
• Provide customer service to passengers such as greeting, providing direction, and loading/unloading bags.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check.
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form.
• Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check.

Pay

$15/hr

Schedule

Part‑time during the Academic Year (August – May), 20 hours per week (maximum).
