Responsibilities
- Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile
- Grow personal sales by hitting minimum goals and providing an above-and-beyond customer experience
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain its benefits
- Engage in conversations with customers to assist in making buying decisions
- Demonstrate a passion for products in our store
- Attend all Scheels product training and store meetings
- Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
- Aid in all other assigned duties

- Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 1-3 months of sales experience.
Skills
- Basic math skills: Compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Effective communication: Write simple correspondence, present information in a one-on-one and small group situation, and communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization.
- Strong oral/written communication and reading skills: Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization.
Benefits
Compensation: $17.00-$19.00 hourly DOE. Day-time or evening availability is required (to include two weekends per month). Average 20 hours per week.
