Part-Time Faculty: VIS 602: Essentials: Photo Editing and Post Production (Fall 2026)
Course Description
Teaches postproduction workflow and techniques for photography using Photoshop and Lightroom; emphasizes image editing, color profile, sizing, and ratio adjustments tailored to the needs of photographers, graphic designers, and cinematographers.
Schedule
Wednesdays 9:30-12:15, August 26-September 23, 2026 (Fall 2026 Semester). 1 credit.
Qualifications
- Master's degree required
- Preference given to applicants with prior teaching experience
Responsibilities
- Developing a syllabus
- Ordering books and materials for students in the class to purchase on or before the first day of classes in advance
- Preparing for classes
- Holding office hours each week to meet with students in the class and others
- Grading in a timely manner student assignments and examinations for the course
- Turning in mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to instruct the class on the days and times it is designated to meet
- Ability to hold office hours on campus
- Ability to grade all assignments and examinations
Tools/Equipment
- Ability to operate standard classroom instructional technology, which may include computer, projector, document camera, etc.
