Part-Time Faculty - Philosophy (South)

About the role

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course.

Responsibilities

• Teach Philosophy-related course work.
• May be assigned evening and/or weekend classes.
• Work may require physical presence at the assigned on‑site work location.
• Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on teaching area and student needs.

Requirements

• Master's Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Philosophy or a related discipline.

Pay

Salary Grade: AH; salary is based on the Board‑approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year (see Salary Schedule).

Schedule

• Part‑time faculty work for the duration of the course as needed.
• Teaching assignments may include evening classes and possibly weekend classes.
