Part-Time Faculty: COU 790 - Counseling Internship - School Counseling (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Counseling & Human Services is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach COU 790 Counseling Internship – School Counseling for the Fall 2026 semester.

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with students for class (i.e. group supervision)
• Develop and execute lesson plans
• Provide feedback on students’ counseling recordings
• Provide feedback on student process notes
• Complete written evaluations
• Communicate with site supervisors and program coordinators as necessary

Qualifications

• A doctorate (or ABD) in counselor education is required.
• Certification as a New York State School Counselor is preferred.
• The successful applicant will have experience as a school counselor and demonstrated effective teaching and supervisory practices that can be applied to a clinical internship course.
