Part-Time Faculty - Continuing Education - Fitness Instructor
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lesson plans and hands-on instruction to adult learners, whether on campus, off campus, or remote, in accordance with the college’s philosophy, policies, and guidelines.
- Engage in clear, professional, and timely communication with students, faculty, and staff to foster collaboration and support.
- Ensure prompt and accurate submission of grades, attendance records, reports, and other required documentation.
- Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System as needed to deliver instruction.
Required Qualifications
- Education and professional experience/certifications dependent upon position.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency using computers and classroom technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience.

The Lifelong Learning Department is seeking part-time fitness instructors to teach daytime class(es) in our continuing education program for adult learners, ages 55+ in Anne Arundel County. Classes are held on-site at the Anne Arundel County senior activity centers and online. Specifc fitness areas of need include: yoga, strength and conditioning, aerobics/Zumba. Previous teaching experience is required. Candidates invited for an interview will be asked to give a short teaching demonstration.
