About the role
We are hiring a Part-Time Extended Day Guide for our Guidepost Montessori school at Central West End!
Responsibilities
- Create a calm and joyful end to each child's day
- Support the after-school program for children ages 0-6
- Facilitate a mix of structured and open-ended activities
- Prepare materials and maintain an orderly space
- Supervise and engage with children in a warm, respectful way
- Welcome and engage with families at pick-up, ensuring a smooth transition home
- Partner with the school team to ensure a smooth transition from the school day to extended care
- Contribute ideas and feedback to help strengthen the extended day experience
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in a school, childcare, or camp setting
- A reliable, adaptable, organized, and proactive mindset
- A warm, patient, and engaging presence with children and families
- Ability to take initiative while also collaborating closely with a team
- A genuine love for working with young children
- Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach (prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required)
Qualifications
- Fully sponsored Montessori diploma training through the Prepared Montessorian Institute
- Competitive pay: $18.00 - $20.00 hourly, depending on experience

Schedule
- This is a part-time position supporting our after-school program, and typically works between 2:00pm - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
