Part Time Event Crew Across the Washington DC area

Do you love live music, stunning venues and unforgettable experiences? Join our growing team at Lumos Experiences, where we bring musical candlelit concerts to life every weekend. We're hiring a Regional Event Team to run intimate concerts across the Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware Regions. We're on the lookout for passionate, reliable and friendly Event Crew & Event Managers to support and manage our shows across the entire region. This is a part-time role, perfect for those who thrive in live event environments and are excited to grow with a creative, expanding business! Concerts are held in cities such as Bel Air, Hampstead, Eldersburg, Vienna, Stevensville, Fredericksburg, Uniontown, Georgetown, Lynchburg and Bethesda. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel up to two and a half hours to each event.

Responsibilities

Event Crew’s General Responsibilities:

• Assist with guest check‑in and seating
• Act as a liaison to musicians and venue staff
• Assist with event setup, providing lighting and ambience; then assist with breakdown and closing of the event
• Ensure a smooth and memorable guest experience
• Troubleshoot and lead with calm professionalism

Event Manager’s General Responsibilities:

• Manage guest check‑in and seating
• Serve as the main liaison for musicians and venue staff
• Manage event setup, lighting and ambience; then assist with breakdown and closing of the event
• Ensure a smooth and memorable guest experience
• Troubleshoot and manage each show with calm professionalism

Requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills paired with a passion for events and enthusiasm for engaging with guests
• Maintain a safe environment for attendees, staff, and performers (access control)
• Ability to remain calm and kindly assertive in high‑stress, emotional, or confrontational situations and politely de‑escalate unruly behavior
• Contact necessary help and assist with medical issues (emergency response)
• Be aware of venue layouts, emergency exits, and coordinate security posts (pre‑event)
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, navigate crowded spaces quickly, and lift ~50 lbs during setup and breakdown
• Must have a car or reliable transportation to reach shows across the five‑state region; willingness to drive up to 2.5 hours to an event, with mileage reimbursement provided
