Part-Time EMT

About the role

The Center Medical Specialist performs physical examinations, assesses donor suitability, and builds rapport to ensure customer satisfaction at plasma donation centers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor health and medical history
• Manage adverse events during the donation process
• Provide health education to donors
• Ensure confidentiality of donor information
• Assist in employee training programs
• Administer hepatitis vaccination programs

Requirements

• Current certification or licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Paramedic, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
• CPR certification
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, sitting, bending, twisting, and light lifting
• Good vision, hearing, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing situations, and perform diverse tasks in a plasma center environment

Work Environment

• Exposure to biological fluids and cold environments
• Required use of appropriate protective gear
