About the Role

Brightmont Academy offers a unique part-time teaching opportunity focused on one-to-one instruction. Since 1999, we’ve helped students in grades 1–12 achieve their full potential through personalized learning at 26 campuses across 11 states. This role allows you to teach a single student at a time, tailoring lessons to their unique needs and learning style in a nurturing, student-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one instruction tailored to each student’s academic needs and learning style.
• Guide students to mastery using a gradual release approach.
• Utilize G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS) for instruction and communication.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (e.g., English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or related fields).
• Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students’ individual learning journeys.
• A genuine passion for teaching and sharing your subject with students.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (required in AZ and WA) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton Gillingham training.
• A teaching certification (nice to have, but not required).
• An advanced degree in a specific subject area.
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
