Part-time Elementary Attendance Office Aide
This is a part-time job-share position (two days per week) under the Support Staff contract, tentatively starting August 24, 2026. Internal candidates will be reviewed prior to external candidates.
About the Role
The Palmyra Area School District is seeking an attendance office aide for Lingle Avenue Elementary (K-5). This position works approximately 90+ days per school year on Thursdays and Fridays. The role requires the ability to function independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while working collaboratively as part of the main office team.
Advanced secretarial and computer skills are required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerSchool, Outlook, and Google Applications. Strong organizational skills with attention to deadlines, confidentiality, and the ability to work cooperatively with administration, staff, students, and families are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily attendance support to the Principal, Assistant Principal, and Building Secretary.
- Manage day-to-day office and school functions.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in both written and oral form.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent organization, computer, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Minimum of three (3) years of prior experience working in an office environment.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
Pay
Minimum starting rate of $14.72 - $16.49 per hour, with credit given for relevant experience.
Schedule
Working hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, two (2) days per week (Thursdays and Fridays) when school is in session.
