Part Time Educator (Winnetka, IL)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students in grades K-8. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all children.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School Diploma/GED.
• At least one year working with school age children in a school/after school setting.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday at the schedule listed.

Qualifications

• Works well in a team environment.
• Has outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
• Drives to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Military or veteran status is not required but is welcome.

Skills

• Positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements such as CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.

Pay

$16-19 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday, 2:30pm-6:00pm and Tuesday-Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm. Hours may vary per individual school.
