About the role

You’ll drive the mission by leading daily program meetings, organizing and facilitating activities, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, prioritizing safety and joy, and communicating effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability during program meetings.
  • Organize and facilitate structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Prepare activities and curriculum aligned with the program’s objectives.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

Pennsylvania State Requirements:

  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • HS Diploma / GED plus one of the following:
    • 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field, or
    • 600 or more hours of secondary training, or
    • 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field + 1 year of experience, or
    • 2 years of experience.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.

Pay

$17.00–$20.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–8:45 AM and 3:20 PM–6:00 PM.
