Part Time Educator (South San Francisco District)

Educator Pay Rate

$21 - $24/hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours

• Monday - Friday, 1pm - 6pm
• Early start every Wednesday at 12:30pm - 6pm (some locations vary)

You’ll Drive The Mission

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. Model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.

Communication

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and nurturing environment while meeting program goals.
• Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age preferred.
• Ability to lift 25lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

California Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
• Cleared tuberculosis test;
• Authorized to work in the US;
• 18+ years of age;
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required;
• LiveScan Fingerprint background check.
