Part Time Educator - Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages, aligning with program objectives.
• Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communication: Engage effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet New Jersey state-specific requirements.
• In-person First Aid and CPR certification.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR vaccination.
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Pay

$16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, split shift:
• Morning shift: 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM
• Afternoon shift: 2:40 PM – 6:30 PM
• Up to 29.17 hours per week.
