Part Time Educator (Rosenberg/Lamar)

About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after-school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm (must be available to work all five days).

Pay

$15–$17 per hour, based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma or GED.
• At least six months of work in a licensed group childcare center or school.
• First Aid and CPR certification (in-person; ability to obtain within 30 days of employment if required).
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements (e.g., CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test).
• At least one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
