Part Time Educator (Redondo Beach)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students in grades K-8. Our programs are designed to enhance learning and provide a supportive environment for children to explore and grow.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Maintain regular meetings with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet state-specific requirements such as LIVE Scan Fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate/Cleared TB, CPR/FA.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Works well in a team environment.
• Experience working with children under 13 years of age (PLUS).

Pay

$20-$23/hour

Schedule

Approx. 11am-5:30pm Monday-Friday (dependent on location)
