Part Time Educator - North Brunswick Township Schools

About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before- and after-school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. As an Educator, you’ll help inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind in a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum that align with program objectives, including structured fitness, educational, and enjoyable activities for all ages.
• Lead by example, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring the environment, addressing potential hazards, and following all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Meet New Jersey state requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Proof of MMR vaccination.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Skills

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay

$16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
