Part Time Educator - IDEA Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a safe, engaging environment for children.

About the role

You will have a "home base" location but may be asked to work at different schools within the district. Program hours are Monday through Friday, 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives, including structured fitness, educational, and enjoyable activities for all ages.
• Lead by example to maintain a safe and nurturing environment, modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring the environment, addressing hazards, and following safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Ability to meet Ohio state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Proof of MMR vaccination.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.

Pay

$15.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
