Part Time Educator (Henrico County, VA)
About the role
Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
- Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Requirements
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Communicate Effectively: Work with a diverse audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
Qualifications
- Education: At least a high school diploma or GED.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements.

Pay
$16.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 2:00PM - 6:00PM (Hours may vary based on assigned location)
Virginia Requirements
- First Aid and CPR-in-person.
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- MRI/MRCP (if applicable).
