Part Time Educator - Haverford

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. About the role

You’ll drive the mission by leading daily program meetings, organizing and facilitating activities, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore and grow. Responsibilities include preparing and leading structured fitness and educational activities, modeling positive guidance, ensuring safety protocols, and communicating effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Responsibilities

• Review daily goals and updates, share ideas, and encourage team collaboration and accountability.
• Organize and facilitate structured daily activities and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Ability to meet Pennsylvania state-specific requirements, including:
  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED plus one of the following:
  • 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
  • 600 or more hours of secondary training in a related field.
  • 15 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience.
  • 2 years of experience working with children.

Skills

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay

$15.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–8:45 AM and 3:30 PM–6:00 PM.
