Part Time Educator -Hamden Public Schools

About the role

Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs for local school districts. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by fostering a safe, engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum.
• Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals. Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow safety protocols.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR.
• At least five hundred and forty (540) hours documented experience in working with unrelated children of the same age(s) to be served in this child day care center or group daycare home.

Pay

$16.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday through Friday 7:00AM-8:35AM and 3:25PM-6:00PM
