About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documentation of attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Works well in a team environment.
• California State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements, including LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, and Health Certificate with Negative Tuberculosis Test from a physician.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma or GED required.

Pay

$21 - $24 USD per hour (based on education and experience).

Flexible schedule to support additional local programs as needed.
