Part Time Educator (Evanston School District)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students in Evanston School District. As an educator, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a love of learning and maintaining a safe environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum engaging children in academic and social character-building
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Lead fun fitness activities and guide children at play
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• $16-$19 per hour (based on education and experience)
• Location: Evanston School District
• Schedule: Monday-Friday: 6:45AM-9:00AM and 3:15PM-6:00PM* (Schedule may vary)
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field preferred

• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
• Works well in a team environment
• Commitment to healthy living
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• State-specific requirements: CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
