Part Time Educator - Encinitas School District

Pay

Pay Range: $20-$22/ hour (dependent on education and experience)

Schedule

On Site Schedule: Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs: 2:00pm-6:00p- Fri: 12:30pm-6:00pm (Dependent on location)

Location

Candidates should be open to working at any of the schools we partner with in the Encinitas area. Please note we cannot guarantee preferred school locations as our needs are based on the needs of the programs we serve.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Makes regular meetings with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Qualifications

• Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Works well in a team environment
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred)
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Complete two years of higher education study (48 units) or obtain an AA degree or higher or pass a formal District academic assessment test
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)
