About the role
Seeking part-time student mentors to work with intellectually disabled adults in Project SAINT: Student Access and Inclusion Together, a grant-funded program at the Santa Fe College Northwest Campus.
Responsibilities
- Attend (audit) one or more classes alongside a student
- Tutor the student before or after class
- Assist with assignments
- Accompany the student to on-campus activities or events
- Work with the student on community-based activities
Reports to: Instructional Specialist, Adults with Disabilities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled Santa Fe College student in good academic and behavioral standing
- Taking six (6) or more credit hours
- Highly motivated, responsible, and capable
- One to two interviews and three references required
- Must pass a criminal background check
Qualifications
Preferred: Experience as a teacher/tutor or with persons with disabilities.

- Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong customer service: respond promptly and courteously to students and faculty, demonstrating patience and persistence when helping students with little or no computer skills
- High ethical standards: demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and ethics in all job-related actions
