Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning activities for children (birth to age 5) and their parents through a variety of ECFE class models.
  • Facilitate positive adult-child interactions, encourage exploration and play-based learning, and create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Assist with conducting monthly early childhood screening.

Requirements

  • Earned a B.A. or B.S. degree.
  • Holds or is eligible for a Minnesota State Licensure in Early Childhood Family Education.
  • Commitment to the equitable education of all students.
  • Creative planning and organizational skills.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to successfully implement the responsibilities of the position.

Preferences

  • Excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning as evidenced by graduate-level work or an earned degree, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.
  • Experience working with diverse learners.

Pay

$36.96/hr - $72.82/hr (placement determined based on experience and qualifications). Salary pro-rated based on start date.
