Part-Time ECE After School Assistant

About the role

The Montessori Academy of Colorado is a metropolitan school that engages each child through innovative academics, exploration of character, and a fearless, forward mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in the after school program from 3:00-5:30 or 3:30-5:30.
• Help maintain a clean and orderly environment both inside and outside.
• Work with children between the ages of 2 through 6 years old.
• Patiently and engaging with children through after school activities.
• Work as a team and follow the direction of the After School Coordinators and assistant teachers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 and have one of the following:
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• A 2 year college degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university
• A current certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or Certified Childcare Professional (CCP) or other Department-approved credential
• Qualify as a professional child care assistant through a combination of hours and verifiable experience in a professional child care setting
• Interested in a career as an Early Childhood Educator
• CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions certifications are a plus
• Experience working with young children (2 years-6 years)
• Montessori experience a plus

Benefits

• Part-time, temporary and substitute employees will also accrue PTO during the school year at a rate of 1 hour of PTO per every 30 hours actually worked.

Pay

$19.30-$22.00/hour depending on the qualifications listed above

Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-5:30pm or 3:30pm-5:30pm
