Part-Time DSP
St. Coletta’s of Illinois owns and operates an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) for individuals with developmental disabilities. The facility is staffed with qualified Direct Service Professionals to assist residents with cooking, cleaning, personal needs, and home maintenance. The Residential Program allows adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently while receiving 24/7 support.
About the role
We are seeking compassionate and caring Caregivers/DSPs to support individuals with developmental disabilities at our ICF in Country Club Hills, IL. The ideal candidate is someone looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with special needs.
Schedule
- Option 1: Saturday - Sunday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Option 2: Friday 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM and Saturday - Sunday 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Pay
$20.54 per hour
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, supervision, and well-being of all consumers in care
- Maintain patient records of progress and any issues
- Support individuals with tasks such as cleaning, showering, and toileting to promote independence
- Ensure consumers are dressed and groomed appropriately
- Prepare and/or assist consumers in meal preparation following approved menus
- Administer daily medication
- Provide consumer transportation in an Agency vehicle
- Treat consumers with dignity and respect in all aspects of care
- Participate in required monthly staff meetings
Qualifications
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, operate a vehicle, lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stretch
- Compassionate, patient, and encouraging support professional
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a criminal background check and physical/drug test
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check
- Valid driver’s license
- DSP certification preferred but not required (in-house training available)
