Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A CDL vehicle safely and competently while adhering to all FMCSA/DOT regulations.
- Drive assigned tractor trailer to scheduled stores to deliver product from the PDC.
- Load, deliver, and secure each load including seals and locks, delivery of mail and bills, obtaining necessary signatures, assisting store personnel in unloading product, securing cargo, and ensuring correct temperature of load.
- Pick up assigned backhaul loads from stores and other vendors.
- Fuel tractors and trailers and maintain all equipment in good, clean condition.
- Wash equipment as required.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on commercial motor vehicles.
- Load recycled items and pallets in trailer.
- Work holidays, nights, weekends, and be available for mandatory workdays on normally scheduled off days.
- Maintain a permanent Class A CDL.
- Pass vehicle road test.
- Communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
Qualifications
- Acceptable driving record per FMCSA Guide's point system.
- No disqualification for any reason within the past three years.
- No disqualification/unqualified as a CMV driver for a drug/alcohol offense within the last 10 years.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Maintain all driver qualifications required by FMCSA part 391.
- Meet and follow all regulations set forth by FMCSA.
- Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
- Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

- Ability to frequently climb onto and off equipment (tractor/trailer) utilizing proper three-point stance.
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach and crawl.
- Ability to sit in a tractor for 8-10 hours per shift, stand at least one hour consecutively and walk at least 20 minutes consecutively.
- Finger dexterity for keyboard use, sitting and standing as job requires.
- Shift Hours: Minimum 8-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs.
