Part Time Driver

About the role

Morada Senior Living, part of the Discovery Senior Living family, operates care‑ and lifestyle‑focused senior living communities in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado. The Shavano Park Senior Living community is seeking a Driver to provide transportation for residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities while delivering quality service.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize them during trips.
• Operate radio, cell phone, or pager safely to communicate with the base station or other vehicles and report service disruptions.
• Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service the vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license‑plate renewal processes.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per‑trip basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in a customer‑service environment, preferably in a senior‑living setting.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and compliance with safety measures.
• Strong organization, time‑management skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Schedule

Approximately 25 hours per week, including Sunday morning shifts.
