About the role
A District Support Pharmacist (DSP) supports pharmacy teams, covers scheduling gaps, and ensures safe, accurate dispensing and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and manage prescription workflow
- Administer immunizations and support clinical services such as testing and prescribing where permitted by law
- Oversee inventory management and ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and policies
- Serve as a pharmacy proxy, modeling compassionate patient care and coaching pharmacy staff
- Maintain safety and quality standards in all pharmacy activities
Requirements
- Active pharmacist license in good standing
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Compliance with all legal and regulatory standards for pharmacy practice
- Ability to travel as needed and adapt to varying schedules
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to meet operational needs
Skills
- Strong communication and customer service orientation
- Effective problem resolution and attention to detail
- Physical mobility to perform pharmacy duties, including standing, lifting, and moving supplies
- Proficiency in math and pharmacy calculations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in pharmacy, retail, or healthcare-related roles
