Part Time District Support Pharmacist

About the role

A District Support Pharmacist (DSP) supports pharmacy teams, covers scheduling gaps, and ensures safe, accurate dispensing and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and manage prescription workflow
• Administer immunizations and support clinical services such as testing and prescribing where permitted by law
• Oversee inventory management and ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and policies
• Serve as a pharmacy proxy, modeling compassionate patient care and coaching pharmacy staff
• Maintain safety and quality standards in all pharmacy activities

Requirements

• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Compliance with all legal and regulatory standards for pharmacy practice
• Ability to travel as needed and adapt to varying schedules
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to meet operational needs

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service orientation
• Effective problem resolution and attention to detail
• Physical mobility to perform pharmacy duties, including standing, lifting, and moving supplies
• Proficiency in math and pharmacy calculations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in pharmacy, retail, or healthcare-related roles
