Home and Community Options is seeking upbeat, motivated, and reliable individuals to join their team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). In this role, you will help children and adults with developmental disabilities in the community live self-directed lives by providing tailored support.
About the role
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists people with disabilities of all ages in leading self-directed lives. Responsibilities are tailored to the individual’s needs and may include:
- Teaching skills of daily living
- Providing health or medical support
- Assisting with daily tasks and personal care needs
- Offering social or emotional support
- Encouraging learning and growth to enhance independence and community inclusion
- Advocating for the wants, needs, and life goals of those supported
DSPs empower individuals to lead the lives they want at home, work, school, and in the community by valuing their interests and preferences.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Acceptable driving record (if driving is required for the position)

Pay
Starting hourly wage: $17.88/hr (day shifts).
